Macmillan primary care colleagues work within the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance to support all primary care in their vital work diagnosing cancer early, caring for patients who have a cancer diagnosis and making sure they have the best possible care.

This web page provides primary care staff with information about opportunities to learn more about cancer pathways and how to find ways to improve them within their practice.

We offer education and training sessions which support all roles within primary care as well as lunch and learn sessions.

Our primary care focused education sessions are there to support all elements of cancer care within primary care networks (PCNs) and practices.

We will be running some cancer courses to support clinical and non-clinical staff in the next six months. Please email kmicb.macmillanprimarycare@nhs.net  to register your interest or for further information.

If there is anything specific you would like to learn about to support you and primary care colleagues, then please let us know by  emailing kmicb.macmillanprimarycare@nhs.net

Lunch and learns are a great way to take a step back from the day-to-day work, grab some lunch and learn something new. Each session typically lasts for between 40 and 60 minutes.

Our lunch and learn events are an opportunity for staff from different teams across Kent and Medway to meet and share their skills and expertise.

We often theme these around Cancer Research UK's awareness calendar. To book, please visit our Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance events calendar.
